THANK
YOU!
Did you know that a recent community health needs assessment by Children's Mercy Hospital showed that:
* Mental health issues among our youth are above the national average
* There is a striking rise in
+diagnoses of depression
+students who stopped doing their usual activities because of feelings of sadness or hopelessness
+teens taking prescription medicines for mental health
The U.S. Center for Disease Control indicates that creating protective factors such as connections to trusted adults and activities that build emotional skills are effective in improving mental health in teens.
With the belief that the loss of one teen's life is too many, Tyler's House was established in January 2020 to actualize its vision of a community where our young people understand their value and are equipped with the tools to navigate their worlds.
We invite you to join us in offering these teens our support and resources.
A recurring, monthly donation of even $5 will help us plan for the future. Please consider selecting that option when you donate.
